This work is the wearable version of MEDUSA (2008), a necklace-sculpture commissioned in 2008 by the Swarovski collection. BOA is made from the cotton rope I've been using since my first piece of jewelry in 2005. It is 500 cm long, with a diameter of around 8-10 mm. The crystal stones and pearls are embroidered randomly in rows along the length. Each piece is therefore unique.
